12 AXLE TRAIN TRANPORT of 228 Ton

Cargo was laminating cylinder of 128 mt for a steel mill that was to  be delivered in Germany. Factory delivered the 128 mt ton on a 7 axle cometo lowbed trailer till the port of Genova. Cargo was loaded  in a gearless coaster from Genova till Antwerp, the cargo was loaded and discharged with shore cranes of 240 mt On quay in Antwerp a 12 axle lowbed railcar was ordered for cargo transfer handling with teflon coated slings. Lashing , securing and dunnaging of cylinder in accordance with strict railway certification rules, total configuration was 224 ton. This was maximum pressure allowed per linear metre of rail. Cylinder arrived in perfect condition on site, in the steel mill in Germany , on schedule and within given transport budget.
